Counter Strike 1.6

In this blog, I will talk about how I started to play CS

I started playing like when I was Primary 6, about 9 years ago. During that time, I was playing Counter Strike 6.1b ( beta version ). I was introduced to that game in a cybercafe nearby my house, iZone. Still remember how I played, I was so blur why the hell I shoot a fella but he didn't die? Because he was my teammate and I cant kill my teammate unless friendly fire is off.

When I was in Form 1, I used to sneaked out of my school and went to that cc on fridays because I went to school an hour earlier ( afternoon session ). I was so angry that I play so bad that I went to a mall and get that game and play at home. I practice every single guns and play with bots. But I never improved because bots are freaking easy that I used knife to kill them without any best efforts.

I stopped CS until like after PMR because my friends asked me to. We hung out in that cc playing games but I was the only one playing cs there because it was fun killing kids lol.

Entering my college years, I first started CS with my Alpha friends playing in public server hosted by myself ( not dedicated server ). At first it was so easy because we were dominant until there was this fella ( a friend now ) dm0nicaL, asked us if we wanted a friendly match. I never knew how to play a match, I had no idea how the system works. I was blurred why suddenly we changed sides and the word "gg" came up, indicated the game had already finished and we lost. I actually confused how to control the money system, we kept on buying guns like every rounds! haha!! and I thought there is no way we could win against these guys. We were noobs.

Until one day, I accidently joined this match server and spectating the guys that beaten us, and they were short of man power, they asked me to join them but I refused. I was forced to play with my knowledge of cs matches still zero. We lost that game because of me. On that point onwards, Zony stepped in and taught me how to play, this and how and why. We played against each other in a small map called aim_qpad_2007. We played 50 rounds of fragging and most of the time I lost. He taught me how to shoot and stuff, how to get sharp in shooting. Up until then, I do 2000 bot fragging and 5000 frags at home during holidays, everyday. I never got tired because of the drive I had in me, the disapproval of better players like acad and dmL that I was said to be "never will improved".

I never get the chance to play with them but thanks to Baa, I got that oppoturnity. My very first tournament, me and my teammates got 4th place. It was a big achievement for myself as a first timer in tournaments. After that I got myself an original set of Counter Strike 1.6 game, and I often play against the good players online. After that, me and Palau, together with some other friends; Lawkills, Faiq, and Myth, we formed FreuFrei. We almost got into the final 4 but unfortunately we lost to Xg.

Then I meet this guy, Roy, a Singaporean fella online at Steam. We play matches together online up until now and immediately we formed FreuFrei.Sg. Our best game was against PwyH, we lost with a small deficit of 16-9. But it was good and I was happy with how I performed and how the team play together. Great teamwork, but Im not sure if there are any FreuFrei.Sg available haha.. Then I met Robin, a friend of my good friend Iswandi. He was a member of TOE ( Taste of the East, and now currently known as PugiMak ). Sometimes he invited me to play with him online against some good players I don't know. He taught me things I never knew ( maybe he thought he never taught anything to me but he did ). I learnt how to mark a post and takedowns.

Counter Strike 1.6 Professional level is so far away from me and I think I'll never catch that level, maybe one day when I really gotten myself dedicated, but I think not, since I'm a college student and I'll never can cope up with things if I play cs professionally.

Up to this point,I would like to thank Baa for introducing me a different level of counter strike, zony for being my all time sparring partner, Palau for being the best teammate I ever have, Law, Faiq for being a great support in this eSport, acad and dmL for being the drive for myself to improve thanks to their dissaproval, my friends who had been playing with me, and my girlfriend Diana who had always supported me in this arena.
